      <title>#9463: 1989 34' Carver 34 Santego Express Flybridge (Hurricane Sandy)</title>

      <description>This 1989 36' Carver 34 Santego washed off the stands during the storm surge from hurricane Sandy. The boat was not submerged but water did accumulate in the forward section of the cabin approximately 2’’ deep. The engine compartment was not flooded. Fiberglass damage to the bottom of the hull. Approximately 10’’x 10’’ hole in the hull at the waterline on starboard side near the bow. Approximately 6’’x 6’’ hole in the hull near the keel approximately 6’ back from the bow. Approximately 4’ long area of abrasions to the fiberglass on the outer chines midship on the starboard side. 4’x 4’ area of deep abrasions to the fiberglass on the bottom midship. The fiberglass bow pulpit is torn loose from the deck. Gelcoat in fair condition, light scratches on hull sides, faded and chalky. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel.

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font color=black&gt;ACCOMMODATIONS:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;Interior with forward V berth, head,  salon and galley&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font color=black&gt;INTERIOR:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The interior upholstery is complete but will need cleaning due to age. &lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;The forward cabin has some water damage to the upholstery and carpet. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;GALLEY: Stainless steel sink, 3-burner Princess stove, Norcold refrigerator/freezer, GE microwave. All galley appliances appear operable but not tested. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Upholstery is fair condition, carpet needs cleaning. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;HEAD: 12 volt Raritan head, stand up shower. &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font color=black&gt;EXTERIOR:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt;
&lt;li&gt;BATTERY: Poor condition, 2-group 24. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;ELECTRONICS: Standard VHF, Standard Horizon GPS 160, Furuno depth finder, Horizon hailer, Ritchie 4’’ compass, not tested. &lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;RUBRAIL: Poor condition, stainless steel insert is bent and loose on starboard side. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The stainless steel bow rail is bent at the pulpit. &lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;All windows are in good condition. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The flybridge is intact with no damage. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The bimini top is in good condition. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The eising glass enclosure for the flybridge is in the cabin and some panels are torn. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The steering, throttle, and shift controls operate properly.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;No windlass&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font color=black&gt;ENGINE:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Twin Marine Power 7.4 litre I/O engines. There was no water in the oil at time of inspection. The engine compartment had a small amount of water but did not appear to have been flooded. The engines appear complete with no water damage. The oil is clean in both engines and the engines turn free but were not tested, condition unknown. &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font color=black&gt;TRANSMISSION:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;The V-drives appear operational but not tested. &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font color=black&gt;GENERATOR: &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;Kohler 7.3 KW, water in the oil, not tested, condition unknown.&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;

Gelcoat is chalky and faded 360 degrees. The cuddy cabin upholstery is in poor condition. The exterior upholstery is in poor condition. All upholstery is aged. 
 The Mercruiser engine is complete but is stuck from sitting. No water in the oil. The Mercruiser outdrive is missing. The hull and deck are in fair condition but showing its age.  Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection.

      <description>This 2009 26' Sea Ray 250 Sundancer Cruiser was damaged at its moorage during Hurricane Sandy when something impacted starboard side causing fiberglass damage above the water line. Boat reported not submerged. Boat reported well maintained prior to incident. Hull fair condition except for damage noted with shiny gelcoat. Hull damage on starboard side, starboard cabin side and adjacent head compartment. Helm windshield frame damaged on starboard side. Fiberglass impact damage to starboard lower hull side (below boot stripe) located forward amidships area. Hole measured approximately 4”X6”. Outer starboard cabin side damaged area approximately 10”X14”. Gelcoat scratches and chips on the port cabin side near stern. Various length scratches within an approximate 16”X48” area. Fiberglass damage to head compartment at aft outboard corner approximately 12”X24” area. Various light gelcoat scuffs and scratches at starboard mid hull area. Various light gelcoat scratches port hull side mid to forward area. AC voltage equipment visually examined only. No evidence of damage to equipment. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection.

      <description>This 2001 38' Cruiser Yacht 3870 Express was washed off its stands during the storm surge from hurricane Sandy. The boat was not submerged but does have some water damage. Water accumulated in the bilge during the storm. There is a 8’’x 8’’ hole below waterline near bow on port side. This hole allowed water into bilge but did not flood the boat. Muddy residue is present in the bilge area from bow to stern. Abrasion damage to fiberglass on underwater chines and keel area. Heavy abrasions to gelcoat on starboard hull side. One 6’ long area of impact damage to hull/deck joint on starboard side near bow. One 10’ area of impact damage to hull/deck joint midship on starboard side. Deep scratches and gouges in the same area. The stainless steel bow rail is bent on starboard side with two stanchions bent and pulled loose from deck. Fiberglass damage to back corner of swim platform. Impact damage to back of swim platform and rubrail is damaged. Both 4 blade props are bent. The starboard rudder is bent. The shafts appear to be in good condition but not tested. The trim tabs appear in working condition but not tested. Both engines appear in working condition with no water in the oil but not tested. Engines turn free and all components appear good. The transmissions have clean oil and appear good but not tested. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection.

      <description>This 1980 36' Sea Ray 360 Vanguard Sedan Flybridge Convertible Sports Fish Cruiser broke loose from the mooring during hurricane Sandy. The boat came to rest on a bulkhead after the storm surge. There is fiberglass damage to the stern and the boat took on water. The vessel was not submerged but accumulated water in the stern approximately 18’’deep. Fiberglass damage to the starboard side prop pocket. Damage occurred when the boat hit the bulkhead. The damage area is approximately 8’’x 48’’ on the inside of the prop pocket. The damage is thru the hull and allowed water into the boat. The hull sides have scratches 360 degrees. The hull and deck appear solid but showing signs of age. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection.
